BRABUS 700-hp Mercedes-AMG E 53 Hybrid: Carbon, 3.6s Sprint
BRABUS amplifies the Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ Saloon and Estate, delivering 515 kW (700 hp) and 850 Nm while launching from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.6 seconds. The tuner wraps this performance in bespoke styling that turns the plug-in hybrid into a distinctively BRABUS creation.
Engineers shape exposed-structure carbon-fibre aerodynamic elements that lend a bold yet efficient outline. A three-piece front spoiler steadies the car at speed, while carbon surrounds accent the intakes and grille. A diffuser with four 90 mm titanium-carbon tailpipes dominates the rear. The saloon also gains a carbon rear spoiler that boosts downforce.
Forged 21-inch BRABUS “PLATINUM EDITION” alloys complete the stance. The saloon wears Monoblock Z rims (9Jx21 front, 10.5Jx21 rear) shod with 265/35 ZR 21 and 305/30 ZR 21 Continental or Hankook tyres, while the estate showcases Monoblock M wheels in the exact sizes. Height-adjustable sport springs lower the ride by 15–30 millimetres, sharpening both handling and aesthetics.
The PowerXtra B53–700 kit plugs into the factory electronics and recalibrates injection, ignition and boost. BRABUS lifts the 3.0-litre turbo straight-six from 330 kW (449 hp) to 395 kW (537 hp) and torque from 560 Nm to 660 Nm. The electric motor retains its 120 kW (163 hp) and 480 Nm, supplied by a 28.6 kWh lithium-ion battery, enabling seamless hybrid assistance. BRABUS recommends high-performance MOTUL oil for optimum reliability.
Inside, stainless-steel scuff plates display the illuminated BRABUS logo, while carbon or aluminium pedal pads add a sporting note. Deep-pile velour mats, edged in black nubuck with silver piping, elevate comfort. The in-house upholstery shop crafts full-leather interiors to order, offering an almost limitless palette of colours, quilting patterns and perforations executed with meticulous precision.
