Cadillac Brings Three V-Series.R Cars to Le Mans 2026
Three Cadillac V-Series.R Hypercar race cars will take part in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans after the Automobile Club de l’Ouest released the official entry list today.
Cadillac Racing will challenge for overall victory with three factory Cadillac V-Series.R race cars. Experienced, championship-winning teams and drivers will support the programme in the Hypercar class. Cadillac will also compete in LMGT3, where four Corvettes will join a strong field of 25 cars.
“General Motors has the broadest and most diverse motorsports presence of any automaker in the world,” General Motors President Mark Reuss said. “Fielding seven cars at Le Mans reflects not only our competitive ambition, but our relentless drive to advance endurance, innovation and performance on a global stage.”
The Automobile Club de l’Ouest extended three invitations to Cadillac Racing. The grid will include the No. 12 and No. 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R entries from the FIA World Endurance Championship. It will also include the No. 101 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R, which races full-time in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Grand Touring Prototype class.
The No. 12 and No. 38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R entries earned automatic invitations through full-season participation in the FIA World Endurance Championship. JOTA Sport is competing in its second season of WEC Hypercar with Cadillac as a works team. Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, Sébastien Bourdais, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens will drive.
The No. 101 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R will race at Le Mans for the second time. Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque will drive.
Cadillac finished fourth in the 2025 WEC Hypercar manufacturers’ championship. In July in Brazil, the No. 12 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA V-Series.R won the event, and the No. 38 car finished second. At Le Mans, Cadillac locked out the front row as the No. 12 car took pole and the No. 38 qualified second.
The Cadillac V-Series.R uses a purpose-built Cadillac 5.5-litre DOHC V8 engine. GM’s Performance and Racing Propulsion team developed the engine in Pontiac, Michigan. Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing, and chassis constructor Dallara co-developed the race car. The programme drew on the Project GTP Hypercar that Cadillac unveiled in June 2022. The car carries distinctive Cadillac design cues, including vertical lighting and floating blades.
The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on 13 to 14 June. The race will form the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
