CES 2026: X-Humanoid Reveals Autonomous Humanoid Robots

At CES 2026, which opens on 6 January 2026, Beijing Innovation Centre of Humanoid Robotics (X-Humanoid) showcased more advanced, more useful humanoid robots, including Embodied Tien Kung 2.0 and Embodied Tien Kung Ultra. The demonstrations showed evident progress towards robots capable of handling real-world tasks with genuine skill and capability. X-Humanoid ran live, fully autonomous demos and highlighted the strength of China’s applied, industry-focused robotics sector.

Beijing Innovation Centre of Humanoid Robotics Co., Ltd. was launched in November 2023 as a technology company specialising in embodied intelligence and humanoid robotics. The company researches, develops, and applies next-generation intelligent robots that combine artificial intelligence, motion control, and human-robot interaction.

X-Humanoid stays focused on making embodied intelligence fully autonomous and practical. It used live, on-site demonstrations to show how its robots run self-directed operations. It also showed an increasingly deployment-led approach to building more useful systems for global audiences.

X-Humanoid has built two core platforms to deliver humanoid robots that reliably perform real-world work. The Embodied Tien Kung platform provides an industrial-grade robot body that supports long endurance, high payload capacity, and coordinated two-handed operation. The Wise KaiWu platform provides universal embodied AI that connects cognition and physical control in a closed loop across perception, decision-making, and execution. This design supports full autonomy and broader real-world use.

During the live demonstrations, Embodied Tien Kung 2.0 sorted parts fully autonomously and interacted with visitors. It gave attendees a direct view of fast, accurate, resilient operation.

X-Humanoid powers the robot with its proprietary cross-ontology Base Model VLA XR-1. The robot completed a full workflow that covered grasping, sorting, and placing components, and it did so smoothly and independently. It consistently adapted to shifting object positions, environmental changes beyond the conveyor zone, and spatial adjustments, and showed strong generalisation. It delivered speed, accuracy, and resilience in ways that matter in industrial automation.

X-Humanoid uses proprietary UVMC (Unified Vision-Motion Codes) technology to connect visual perception directly to physical action. The robot turns what it sees into near-instant responses, similar to human reflexes, and manages unexpected situations with minimal latency. The robot also runs at high frequency, above 60 Hz. It converts visual data into precise motion commands in real time, supports high-speed dynamic grasping, and closes the gap between seeing and doing. The robot also maintains robust bimanual coordination. When the right arm misses a part, the left arm takes over immediately and completes the grasp, which keeps operations continuous and consistent.

X-Humanoid has deployed its embodied intelligence solutions with partners across multiple sectors. It targets high-risk, high-intensity, and repetitive labour scenarios. For example, Embodied Tien Kung 2.0 and Tian Yi 2.0 now operate on an unmanned production line at a Foton Cummins engine plant. They handle bin pickup, transport, and placement autonomously. They also adapt to different shelf heights and container types, and they show a successful move from controlled tests to live industrial production.

The company (X-Humanoid) also deploys humanoid robots for high-risk power grid inspections with the China Electric Power Research Institute. It also works with the Li-Ning Sports Science Laboratory to run long-duration, high-intensity athletic shoe testing using humanoid robots. More recently, X-Humanoid agreed with Bayer to advance humanoid robotics and embodied intelligence technologies for solid pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, quality control, warehousing, and logistics.

X-Humanoid also displayed the Embodied Tien Kung Ultra. It delivered exceptional stability and mobility during extended running demonstrations. It holds the world's first title as the champion humanoid robot to complete a half-marathon (21.0975 km) fully autonomously, without remote control, in 2:40:42. It also ran 100 metres autonomously in 21.50 seconds and won the first-ever humanoid robot games. These extreme endurance and sprint tests validate the platform’s stability, durability, and autonomous capability, and they lay a foundation for long-term, stable, independent operation in real-world environments.

Embodied Tien Kung 2.0 also demonstrates strong interactive capabilities for service scenarios. It served as a host at the World Robot Conference 2025 and delivered one of the earliest, fully autonomous guided-tour solutions at scale in unmanned exhibition halls. The Wise Kaiwu platform recognises and responds in multiple languages. It also coordinates a fleet of robots through an intelligent multi-agent dispatch system. This progress supports future applications in consultation, tour guiding, and other service and operational settings.

X-Humanoid’s presence at CES 2026 presented its core mission with focus and intent. The company builds humanoid robots that are truly capable and skilled at real-world tasks.
