Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera Stars in Prime Video Series Day One
Hispano Suiza has collaborated with the new series Day One, an international Prime Video production set in Barcelona that explores the relationship between innovation and humanity in the digital age. The story unfolds against the backdrop of Mobile World Congress, one of the world’s most important technology events, which attracts around 110,000 visitors each year and now celebrates its twentieth anniversary.
The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera, the brand’s latest hypercar, revealed in 2024 to mark its 120th anniversary, appears in the series as a natural part of the technological world in which the story takes place. In the series, the hypercar belongs to Diskin, an influential technology entrepreneur played by Jordi Mollà. His character embodies both the transformative potential of innovation and the risks that can arise as technology evolves.
Day One takes place across some of Barcelona’s leading technology hubs. The story follows Ulises Albet, played by Álex González, a computer prodigy who returns to the city after a decade away from the sector. He confronts a new technological weapon that could pose serious consequences for humanity. The narrative reflects the dilemmas that technology can create when people fail to use it responsibly. The cast also includes Alba Planas, Asier Etxeandia, Renata Notni, and Iván Massagué, with a special appearance by Mireia Oriol.
The production filmed scenes in several iconic centres of innovation, including the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC-CNS), the ALBA Synchrotron, Talent Arena, the Collserola Tower, Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), the Torre Glòries viewpoint, and the 22@ district. These locations help transform the city of Barcelona into another character within the story, creating a setting where technology and humanity exist in constant tension.
Day One features six episodes of forty-five minutes each. Marta Pahissa and Víctor Cuadrado directed the series, while Cristina Pons, Luis Arranz, Luis Moreno, and Juan Salvador López wrote the script. Zebra Producciones, NewCo Audiovisual, and Documentales en Canarias S.L. produced the series, with the Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation as associate producer and 3Cat as a participating producer.
Within this narrative context, the Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera represents advanced mobility in a contemporary form. Its design and technology strengthen the visual language of a story built around innovation and technological progress.
Through this collaboration, Hispano Suiza continues to expand its presence in the cultural and audiovisual space. The brand explores new connections between the automotive sector, technology, and digital transformation.
Sergio Martínez Campos, CEO of Hispano Suiza, said: "For our brand, being part of Day One means bringing a vehicle that represents our technological vision and our commitment to innovation to screens around the world. Since our origins, Hispano Suiza has been closely linked to technological development, and participating in a production set at the Mobile World Congress reinforces that natural connection with the global ecosystem of technology and mobility of the future. Our relationship with the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation and the Mobile World Congress is solid and ongoing; two years ago, we presented our technology through an experience with our simulator, and today we are doing so with the actual vehicle, projecting our vision of the future through design, engineering, and innovation applied to the automobile."
Hispano Suiza strengthened its role as a technological reference at Mobile World Congress 2026 by supporting the launch of Day One with several activations in Barcelona. The Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera appeared at a range of events related to the congress's technological and audiovisual ecosystems.
The brand joined several initiatives organised around Mobile World Congress. From 2 to 4 March, organisers displayed the Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera at the MWC Talent Arena, which highlighted the connection between advanced mobility, technological innovation, talent, and digital creativity. Institutional representatives and professionals from the technology sector visited the stand on 3 March. On 4 March, organisers hosted a round table on the technological challenges facing the automotive industry. Sergio Martínez Campos, CEO of Hispano Suiza, and Juan Fernández, Technical Director of Hispano Suiza, joined the discussion, while journalist and innovation specialist Pipo Serrano moderated the session. The speakers explored innovation in the automotive sector and examined the impact of regulation and cybersecurity on the industry.
The programme concludes with the official premieres of Day One. The first premiere took place yesterday in Barcelona, and Madrid will host another premiere on 11 March. Hispano Suiza will participate actively in both events by showcasing its vehicles and strengthening its role within the production's narrative and promotional universe.
Prime Video will launch the series globally on 13 March.
