Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage at Rétromobile 2026 Debut

Following its digital unveiling on 22 January, Bugatti presented the physical world premiere of the F.K.P. Hommage at Rétromobile 2026, as part of the inaugural Ultimate Supercar Garage. This new space celebrated the world of supercars within the prestigious Paris event. It gave Programme Solitaire a fitting stage for its second creation. The moment connected Bugatti’s modern vision of bespoke craftsmanship with its rich heritage.

That connection began two decades ago with the Bugatti Veyron. The Veyron reshaped what the automotive world thought was possible and created a new category of performance. Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch drove that vision. The Veyron paired unprecedented power with refinement. It set benchmarks that still inspire Bugatti today and form the philosophical foundation for the F.K.P. Hommage.

Bugatti drew the attention of the automotive world and international media when it unveiled the F.K.P. Hommage, with Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac opening the presentation. The reveal marked a landmark year for the brand. It was launched alongside Programme Solitaire and the Bugatti Veyron's 20th-anniversary celebration. This hypercar rewrote performance expectations with more than 1,000 horsepower and established the new hyper-GT segment. Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch shaped that legacy through an uncompromising ambition. Bugatti still follows that ambition today.

The F.K.P. Hommage extends the legacy set by Programme Solitaire’s first creation, Brouillard, which Bugatti unveiled at Monterey Car Week in August 2025. Programme Solitaire limits production to just two unique masterpieces per year. It underlines Bugatti’s commitment to the art of coachbuilding. It also gives enthusiasts the chance to create truly bespoke, one-of-a-kind vehicles that reflect their individual vision while paying tribute to Bugatti’s storied heritage.

Bugatti Head of Design Frank Heyl led the moment of unveiling. He introduced the F.K.P. Hommage to an enthusiastic audience and explained the design philosophy behind this extraordinary one-off. Bugatti built the car on the latest evolution of its W16 platform. It features a 1,600-hp quad-turbocharged engine that represents the pinnacle of two decades of engineering refinement. The F.K.P. Hommage bridges past and present with clear intent.

The exterior keeps the Veyron’s iconic leaning-back posture and dropping belt line. It refines every surface for greater precision. It enlarges the air intakes to support the enhanced powertrain. It also introduces a three-dimensional horseshoe grille machined from solid aluminium that flows organically into the bodywork. A distinctive multi-layer Rouge Jubilé paint finish adds extraordinary visual depth. It evolves from the original ‘Absolute Red’ that featured on the Veyron. Black-tinted exposed carbon fibre provides a sharp contrast.

Inside, the F.K.P. Hommage delivers a near-complete evolution compared with recent W16 models, including Chiron and Mistral. A bespoke circular steering wheel anchors the cabin. A centre console and tunnel cover, machined from solid aluminium blocks, evoke the spirit of the original Veyron. A custom ‘Ettore Grand’ fabric in the colour ‘Havana’ showcases the brand’s most advanced craft. A 41 mm Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Tourbillon dominates the dashboard. Bugatti integrated it at the customer’s request and set it within an engine-turned “island”. It serves as a tribute to Bugatti’s historic engineering heritage.

Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles, closed the presentation. He reflected on his personal connection to the Veyron, as he worked on the team that launched the car 20 years ago. He recalled that the quality standards established at the time became the benchmark for Bugatti. Those principles still guide the marque, and they continue to shape its future.

"Being part of the team that launched the Veyron 20 years ago was a defining moment in my career. The quality standards we set then, driven by absolute precision and a relentless pursuit of perfection, remain at the heart of everything we do at Bugatti today. Seeing the F.K.P. Hommage unveiled here at Rétromobile, within the Ultimate Supercar Garage, is a proud moment, as it allows us to honour that legacy while offering collectors the opportunity to create cars that are as personal as the stories behind them," said Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles.

Bugatti displayed the original Veyron 16.4 alongside the F.K.P. Hommage. It reminded visitors how far Bugatti has come since that groundbreaking hypercar redefined automotive possibilities two decades ago.

Across the four-day event, Bugatti joined four official partners: Bugatti Bruxelles, Bugatti Gstaad, Bugatti Monaco, and Bugatti Paris. Together, they presented a curated selection of four Bugatti-certified Veyron models: a Veyron 16.4, Grand Sport, Super Sport, and Vitesse. La Maison Pur Sang certified the cars. Bringing these motoring legends together underscored the enduring appeal of the Bugatti Veyron and the prestige of acquiring these celebrated hypercars through Bugatti’s official network.

The Bugatti Veyron marked the relaunch of the Bugatti marque. It has since become one of the brand’s defining icons, alongside historic models like the Type 35. La Maison Pur Sang safeguards the authenticity and value of Bugatti collector cars. Some of these cars, including the four Veyrons on display, carry unconventional stories, extraordinary bodywork, and unique configurations. Bugatti certification reassures owners and enhances value. It also offers restoration and reconfiguration options, so owners can personalise each car via the Veyron configurator to reflect their taste and story.

Former Bugatti Pilote Officiel Pierre-Henri Raphanel added to the celebration. He presented a bespoke variant of his sculptural Bugatti Baby T52, a project rooted in this heritage and closely linked to the spirit of the F.K.P. Hommage. He executed it in the same exclusive materials and colours as the new Programme Solitaire creation. The Baby T52 stands as an artistic counterpart. It echoes the essence of the one-of-one through a collectable expression of motion and art. More than a century ago, Ettore Bugatti created the first Bugatti Baby for his son Roland. He crafted a reduced-scale interpretation of the legendary Type 35. Today, the Baby T52 represents a renaissance of that original icon. It faithfully draws on the 102 original design drawings from the 1920s. Craftspeople handbuild it entirely in France. It underlines Bugatti’s enduring commitment to heritage, precision, and exceptional savoir-faire.

Bugatti’s presence at Rétromobile 2026 celebrated two decades of Bugatti Veyron heritage. It also signalled the future of automotive personalisation through Programme Solitaire. The first edition of the Ultimate Supercar Garage brought the world’s most prestigious hypercar manufacturers together in an unprecedented setting.

“Rétromobile has always been a celebration of automotive heritage, and with the addition of the Ultimate Supercar Garage this year, there could be no better place to honour 20 years of the Veyron while unveiling the F.K.P. Hommage. This car pays tribute to the vision of Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Karl Piëch, whose ambition created the hypercar segment and changed the automotive world forever. Our Programme Solitaire continues that spirit of innovation, creating truly unique masterpieces that push the boundaries of what is possible,” said Mate Rimac, CEO of Bugatti Rimac.

On Monday, Bugatti also began the week with a spectacular parade through the illuminated streets of Paris. The parade brought together historic Bugatti models, including an EB110 GT and a Veyron 16.4, with an escort from the prestigious Garde Républicaine. The convoy wound through the heart of the French capital. It paused at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs along Rue de Rivoli, then arrived at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles to build anticipation for Rétromobile. The parade created an unforgettable spectacle as these automotive icons moved through Paris at night, framed by the city’s monuments. The legendary Bugatti Autorail also travelled from the Cité du Train in Mulhouse to appear at Rétromobile. It showcased another remarkable chapter of the marque’s history.

Rétromobile 2026 and the Ultimate Supercar Garage will welcome thousands of fans until Sunday, 1 February. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Bugatti’s past, present and future.
