Subaru Unveils STI Concepts at Japan Mobility Show 2025

Subaru Corporation announces its exhibit outline for the Japan Mobility Show 2025, with press days on 29 to 30 October and public days from 31 October to 9 November. The Subaru booth will showcase two immersive worlds that define the Subaru brand. In the Performance Scene, Subaru will stage the world premiere of two STI concept models. In the Adventure Scene, the brand will spotlight distinctive Wilderness models that underline capability and everyday usability.

Subaru presents the Performance-E STI concept, a battery-electric vehicle that signals the next generation of Subaru performance. The BEV concept blends taut, athletic proportions with efficient aerodynamics and real-world practicality. It evokes Subaru's heritage while giving drivers a friendly layout and a comfortable, spacious interior. With innovative technologies throughout, the concept aims to deliver intuitive and exhilarating driving experiences.

Subaru also reveals the Performance-B STI concept as an internal-combustion-engine model within the Performance Scene. The design balances advanced performance and usable power with practicality. By drawing on Subaru’s long-developed assets, including the horizontally opposed engine and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the model broadens the options that express the Subaru difference and gives more customers the chance to enjoy driving.

The Subaru exhibition theme is “Driving the Subaru Difference.” Guided by a philosophy of human-centred manufacturing, Subaru has long refined its technologies and products to deliver “Enjoyment and Peace of Mind,” always staying close to customers’ lives. To remain a “Different” brand for its customers, Subaru builds on this foundation to elevate two experiential worlds. The Performance Scene expresses the enjoyment of driving, and the Adventure Scene conveys the thrill of setting out on an adventure. Through these worlds, Subaru aims to deepen bonds and strengthen the emotional connection with customers.

Subaru Corporation President Atsushi Osaki will hold a press conference at the Subaru booth in East Exhibition Hall 5 on 29 October at 12:30 PM JST. The speech will be delivered in Japanese, and the booth will not provide simultaneous translation. Subaru will offer English subtitles on the live stream via Subaru On-Tube, and the video with subtitles will remain available for later viewing.

Subaru plans to display a strong lineup at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The Performance Scene will feature the world premieres of the Performance-E STI and Performance-B STI concepts. The Adventure Scene will include the E-Outback (Trailseeker) prototype for its Japan premiere, the Forester Wilderness prototype, the Outback Wilderness prototype, and the 1983 Subaru GL Family Huckster, celebrating Subaru innovation and spirit across eras.
