Zenos E10 RZ Preview: UK Road-legal Track Car for 2026
The celebrated Zenos E10 returns with a first look at the scintillating RZ, due to enter production in early 2026. Zenos refines the advanced design of the original E10 and brings this landmark road and track car up to speed for today’s discerning enthusiast with new powertrains and modern production techniques.
Shown in engineering prototype form, the Zenos E10 RZ will lead a revised range of British sports cars and set a benchmark for powerful road-legal yet track-oriented models. Zenos starts a new generation focused on innovation and ingenuity, doing more with less in the spirit of the great British sports car makers that inspired its founding.
Zenos plans to reveal the completed E10 RZ at the start of 2026, with production and deliveries following soon after, and the new E10 R2 arriving roughly three months later. The company expects to deliver fewer than 50 cars in the first full year. Indicative pricing puts the E10 RZ at approximately £140,000 OTR and the E10 R2 at approximately £120,000 OTR.
Celebrated for its core engineering principles, Zenos Cars created something special with the original E10. By blending proven ideas from iconic sports cars with innovative materials and methods, the brand reset expectations for lightweight British sports cars and track-day machines.
For the E10 RZ, Zenos embraces the latest powertrain technology with a completely revised engine installation that delivers a monstrous 500bhp per tonne. A 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with CAN bus control, new induction and intercooler pairs with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The unit targets 380bhp at around 6,000rpm and 510Nm between approximately 3,000 and 4,500rpm, setting a scorching benchmark that underlines the car’s track potential.
A large single aluminium extrusion forms the car’s spine and, together with a full carbon fibre tub, provides excellent torsional rigidity. Zenos widens both th front and rear for greater stability and sharper handling, while a slightly lower centre of gravity enhances balance on road and circuit.
Engineers package all significant mass inboard of both axles, including the new engine and gearbox. Fully independent front suspension utilises pushrods and inboard-mounted dampers to reduce drag, lower unsprung mass, and enhance ride and steering response. At the rear, conventional coilover dampers mount directly to a tubular steel subframe that carries the engine and gearbox. Production cars will feature a limited-slip differential to maximise traction when cornering at speed.
A whole carbon fibre body will reduce kerb weight and add visual drama. UK production will hand-lay components that can be painted, left with visible weave or finished to a client’s bespoke specification. The revised E10 will also gain updated front and rear light clusters with the latest lighting technology. Inside, carbon fibre components include bespoke bucket seats with a unique finish, while new instrumentation, an information centre and revised controls reinforce a driver-centric feel.
The new Zenos E10 range will also include the R2, due to be released mid-2026, featuring a 2.3-litre turbocharged engine that delivers approximately 325bhp and a power-to-weight ratio of roughly 400bhp per tonne. It will feature an advanced aluminium and carbon fibre chassis, a full carbon fibre bodywork, a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a limited-slip differential. Zenos expects the E10 R2 to cost approximately £120,000 OTR.
Target figures for the Zenos E10 RZ underline its brief as a lightweight, road-legal track car. The 1969cc inline-four turbo aims for a top speed of around 150mph and 0 to 100km/h, or 0 to 62mph, in approximately 3.2 seconds. Braking hardware includes two-piece front discs with 4-piston callipers and rear discs with 2-piston callipers. Standard fit wheels and tyres are 16-inch fronts with 195/50 R16 rubber and 17-inch rears with 225/45 R17. A 6-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels through a bespoke rack-and-pinion steering setup, featuring an extruded aluminium spine, carbon fibre tub, pushrod front suspension, and coilover rear suspension. Kerb weight targets sit at around 790kg, or 1,742 lb, reinforcing the E10 RZ as a focused, lightweight British sports car designed for both road and track.
